When it comes to blogging, you can screw things up and still have success with it. When I first got started off with blogging, I had no idea of what to do, or how to promote it. It wasn’t until 3 years later when I began to get serious about this whole “internet marketing” thing that I found out why I needed a blog, and how to get traffic from it.
I currently make 1 blog post per day. I see a lot of blogs online that have blog posts that are 2-4 months old on the home page… and they have a lot of traffic coming through to the site https://arsprojecta.com/. My guess is that it’s probably a spam blog that’s only geared towards selling affiliate products and something called “Google AdSense”.
You don’t want your blog to be outdated. Stick with making regular blog posts on a daily basis, and watch how your traffic and subscribers increase. You will want to do the basic things such as submit your blog to the blog directories, and submit your RSS feeds to the RSS directories also.
Doing this will help to attract more people to your blog, and people will use your RSS feed to stream your content onto their website automatically… giving you even more publicity for your blog for free. The good news about submitting to the blog and RSS directories is that you only have to do it once. It’s like paying for advertising for a whole year, for only $50. That’s a great financial and time investment.
But if you want to make money with blogging, you have to be crafty. The first thing you need is a niche. Take a good, long look at your expertise. I’m convinced that almost everybody has something that they’re an expert in. If you can’t come up with a niche, then you will want to search for ideas.
Roam the internet for low competition niches, and see if there are keywords that aren’t highly competitive. Once you find a niche like this, you will want to create an entire marketing campaign for this one niche. Set up a blog, make sure the main keyword of your niche is in the title of your blog, and in every blog post that you make, include this main keyword and similar keywords also.
That way if you put Google AdSense onto your blog, you will serve up relevant ads that your blog visitors can click on… thus earning you money in the process. And if you have a Blogger blog, then incorporating AdSense onto your blog is as simple as making brownies.
Google AdSense is simply a program that can allow you to make money whenever someone clicks on the ads on your site. Depending on your niche, you can make anywhere towards 20 cents a click, all the way up to $3 a click. But those niches where you can make $3 a click are generally very hard to monetize… but it is possible – if you know what you’re doing.
All in all blogging is a great way to expand your marketing base, and to get new leads and customers. And a lot of it will come from the search engines. So continue to develop a strong blog marketing campaign, and you will be good to do.
